Wenn der Haken neben der Option "Hardware verwenden" gesetzt ist, wird direkt auf die Audiohardware bzw. auf die entspr. Treiber zurückgegriffen; z.B. findet dann auch das Mixing dort statt. Dies resultiert in einer besseren Performance und teilweise auch in besserer Soundqualität.

Wofür dann überhaupt die Option?

Leider gibt es einige Treiber, die "schlecht" programmiert sind und z.B. bereiten, wenn mehrere Streams gleichzeitig wiedergegeben werden sollen (was Silverjuke ja z.B. für die Überblendeffekte tut). Oftmals hilft hier ein Treiberupdate - oder eben das Ausschalten der Option "Hardware verwenden", so daß "weniger" vom System gefordert wird.

Manchmal sind die Ursachen auch nicht ein einzelner Treiber sondern eine muntere Verquickung von Problemen verschiedener Treiber - .

Ist alles eine etwas grobe Darstellung; aber wir hoffen Ihre Frage beantwortet zu haben. Ach so: Unsere Empfehlung ist "Hardware verwenden" immer einzuschalten, solange keine Probleme auftauchen. Der Standardwert ist momentan auch "an".

Was bewirkt dort eigentlich die Einstellung "Hardware verwenden" ?
