Gerätemanager\IDE ATA/Atapi-Controller\Primärer-IDE-Kanal\Eigenschaften
Erweiterte Einstellungen\Aktueller Übertragungsmodus
war eingestellt auf PIO, obwohl der Übertragungsmodus auf "DMA, wenn verfügbar" gestellt war.

Nach einer Anleitung aus dem Netz hab ich den zugehörigen Treiber deinstalliert, Windows neu starten lassen und der "richtige" Treiber wurde dann automatisch wieder installiert und "Ultra-DMA" war wieder verfügbar und ausgewählt ;-)

1. also das Erhöhen der Priorität hilft durchaus.
2. Es betrifft nicht nur MS Autoroute - außerdem ruckelt die Musik auch schon beim Programmstart, ohne dass überhaupt der GPS-Empfänger angesprochen wird. Es liegt also irgendwie doch an der Performance des Notebooks, wobei ich da schon auf totaler Sparflamme bin.

hab ich probiert, danke für den Tipp ;-) Hat ein wenig geholfen, aber ich vermute auch, dass die GPS-App hier sehr hungrig ist, zumindest beim Start/Ansprechen...

mit dem Taskmanager von Windows können Sie laufenden Prozessen ja leicht eine andere Priorität zuweisen:

Ein Versuch ist es wert - da Silverjuke aber in aller Regel immer genügend Prozessorleistung bekommt, wird dies eher keine Abhilfe schaffen.

Wahrscheinlicher ist es, das die GPS-Soft- oder Hardware den Computer anderweitig komplett blockiert. Evtl. gibt es hier auch noch Optimierungsmöglichkeiten ...

ich benutze SJ gerade im Auto via Notebook/Touchscreen und habe beim Starten meiner GPS-Navi-App (MS Autoroute) häufig ein ruckeln im Sound, dass m.E. durch die erhöhte Prozessorlast verursacht wird. Wäre es möglich, dass SJ per Option von vornherein eine erhöhte Priorität zugeordnet wird? Oder wäre eine andere "Abhilfe" denkbar?
