Starten Sie regedit und tragen Sie unter HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp\1.x\ItssRestrictions\MaxAllowedZone den Wert 2 ein - wenn der Schlüssel nicht existiert, legen Sie ihn einfach an:

Dies erweitert die für den HTMLHelp-Viewer gültigen Seiten auf die Vertrauenswürdigen Seiten. Dann muss man nur noch den lokalen Netzwerkpfad als Vertrauenswürdige Seite definieren:

Alternativ könnte man MaxAllowedZone auch auf 3 (gesamtes Internet erlaubt) setzen und sich den zweiten Schritt sparen; hier gilt es abzuwägen, woher die CHM-Dateien eigentlich kommen ... als konservativerer Ansatz könnte man auch mittels UrlAllowList eine Liste erlaubter URLs definieren - allerdings hatte dies bei unseren versuchen nicht für Netzwerklaufwerke geklappt, die einem Laufwerksbuchstaben zugeordnet sind ...
