I think, the virtual keyboard is mainly designed for the kiosk mode - if you need a virtual keyboard outside the kiosk mode, you will also need it outside of Silverjuke.
In these cases, maybe the virtual keyboard build-in in Windows 2000/XP will be sufficient? To try this virtual keyboard, choose "Start menu > execute" and type in osk
