I know this question has been raised before, but I figured I'll throw my hat into the ring and say "me too!".
Silverjuke is an excellent piece of software, and having the SDK is awesome! Coin-op and other control features are very useful (and necessary).
However, Video support is a dealbreaker for me.
A friend of mine is starting a Karaoke Bar. I would really like build the jukebox based on SilverJuke. However, around here (Thailand), every single song is in VCD format. Karaoke Disks are available in every corner shop. It's a cultural thing (when Thais go to hang out with their friends, they do it at a karaoke bar) - and every disk is VCD with Video + Lyrics (burned into the image). Audio is Left=Instrumental and Right=Full Mix. Without video support, we just won't get the lyrics - or the video which people also expect.
I can't imagine Video Support being that difficult to implement, since you already have all the music management as well as visualizations already :).
In fact, if there was a way to implement video support through the SDK, I would do it that way, as opposed to reinventing the wheel and writing something from scratch (which I would have to do otherwise - it just will not work here without video.)
Thanks for listening :)
