thank you for your post.

Regarding the "Exclusive mode":

This is just a name for a mode, where only one application can be used by the user.

On recent operating systems it is not easy or even impossible for a "normal" app to become exclusive rights, so, on Linux and OS X, we delegate gaining such rights to the operating system resp. to the user.

See eg.
https://www.google.de/#q=kiosk+mode+mac

All this affects Mac OS X and Linux - for Windows, we found a way for setting Silverjuke to an exclusive mode ourselves.

Best regards
Your Silverjuke-Team

today I gave the new beta a try. Didn't do that for a long time and was still hanging on one of the last old official releases.

I am really interested in the kiosk mode features. Within the old version it was possible to deactivate everything that would allow a user to switch out of the kiosk mode into another application. Silverjuke stayed on top always.

With the beta active corners, cmd-tab (I am on Mac, forgot to mention this), and other ways are still available to switch to another app. However there is a "Try to set exclusive" check box, which opens an information dialog on checking. There I get asked to use the operating system to set an exclusive mode.
But I don't know what is an exclusive mode, not where to set it, nor could I find something on the internet, nor am I sure whether this will work the way I want.

Can someone tell me how to get the old kiosk mode way with the new beta? And maybe also explain a little about the exclusive mode?

Cheers,
Thomas
