Question about Media Library and Crossfading

I've recently downloaded the trial version of Silverjuke 1.18, and thinking of buying the full version, though i have question hoping to be answered or even better finding a solution...

Music Library:

I have a lot of albums that i have created in Silverjuke, and it works perfect, and nice for other users to browse through my albums.. I also have a lot of unsorted mp3 files, which i have organized in 95 folders containing 25 song each..

But when i try to update one folder at a time in Silverjuke, it creates more albums.. For example in one of my folders there are 2 numbers with the band Live, and Silverjuke then creates an album with 2 songs with Live.. It's brilliant because it searches through the Id3 tag of the file, but in this situation, i prefer to have an album with 25 unsorted tracks appear in Silverjuke.. I have tried to set options for each folder, but I can't seem to get it to work..

Crossfading:

I already know that Silverjuke can work trough modules from Winamp an etc., but i was wondering if you could add a "crossfade on pressing the next button" function in a future update.. I really like your crossfader, because it has up to many seconds.. Great work!!

Everything you've described is the desired functionality of Silverjuke. We try to combine tracks to album independently of their folders or locations. This is because esp. in larger libraries, the folder structure is often not perfect ... however, you can try out the following two things:

- Have a look at the option "An album must have at least .. tracks with corresponding .." at "Settings / My Music Library / Combine tracks to albums" and try to use a larger value than the default value of "2" here. If you set this value eg. to "3", the little albums with only two tracks will be gone and will be merged by the albums or genre names. However, note, that you will not have any album with two only tracks then.

- The second choice you have, is to ignore the tags for the album creation and create the albums only by their parent folders. This requires you to have a well-formed directory structure. For this function, select the option "directory" right of the option "An album must have at least .. tracks with corresponding .."

Note that both options affect all sources. The file locations or tags are not changed for these options, so that you can also play around with these options.

I found a good way to do it.. I used a good mp3 tagger program to change album name in the id3 tags to the same album: fx. Various artist 1, and that will of course force Silverjuke to create all 25 tracks in the same album..
