All the functions others than the search are easily accomplished through the many other keys of any remote (eg volume etc...).
Then I tested both the search "remoted" functions and the "direct access" functions trying to enqueue or play single tracks or entire albums using numpad keys.
More than a wishlist item this is a report of what could be done with a little extension of SJ numpad feature:
1) In the "remoted search" function writing abc takes much more than awa: it would be great to set the input timeout parametrically and reduce the time it takes to pass to the next letter, alternatively the arrow right key or numpad's enter key might be used.
"Numpad -" key might be used as a shortcut to enter/clear search box in addition of "00001" and "00002" macros

2) In the direct access mode I'm really missing the option to play or enqueue an entire album: I can start track 0185 04 but not album 0185.
It would be great to have the chance of typing 0185 (or 018504) and then:
pressing "numpad +" enqueues the album/track
or pressing "numpad Enter" plays the album/track
3) By adding the "+" and "enter" keys it would be useful to add remoted macro shortcuts: start playlists set specifically on user's taste or any other function... e.g. (considering 100 macros from +01 to +99 can start any track/album/collection/radiostream found in "01_whatever.m3u" to "99_whateverelse.m3u" that might be stored in SJ "macros" subfolder,
or even better: trigger a whole macro that searches->selects->plays something according to a db query in the SJ db.
PS The last two proposals would also allow to change the playing track/album/playlist "from behind a curtain" e.g. from another PC in another room through girder's (the sw that controls IR/RF remotes) Ajax_sendevent feature!

Apart these suggestions I couldn't find a way

This SJ is great! And the best thing is that there's an active community supporting it
