Silverjuke 3.02 (beta, rc) relased

I have been testing the new 3.02 release and have found that if I have both music (MP3s) and Videos (Avi) and karaoke tracks loaded within the music library I can fairly regularly get SJ to crash.

The crashes occur when I skip forward or back between one type of format to another (i.e video to music or karaoke to video etc). The crashes never occur if I let SJ to play a track, whether video or music or karaoke, in full and allowing it to move onto the next track of its own accord.

Is there an issue concerning the immediate use of one module followed by another to play the different formats? Is there a way of overcoming this?

Just an update that may or not help.

For the last couple of hours I have been testing 3.02.

I am not a computer programmer so this is a somewhat uneducated assessment, but there appears to be an issue with different dll's being used to play different formats one after the other.

I can get SJ to crash everytime by skipping back or forward between tracks. It doesn't matter if the skips are done quickly, one after the other - or if the new song is allowed to begin to play before manually 'skipping' again.

I have also seen SJ freeze if the skip button is pressed quickly.

I have also had two tracks playing at the same time - one video and one audio - then a crash of SJ.

However, if I allow SJ to play through songs to the end and then make the change of it's own accord - no errors occur.

I have tried altering the setting for the fade over time on manual skip option to zero and up to 12 seconds - but to no effect - still the crash occurs.

In addition I have been playing with the visualization option and this is also unstable. I have been using Picture Viz II which can be downloaded from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... alizations . It works fine for the most part but again causes crashes if skipped backwards.

I am keen to get this working and I'm sure it will be resolved - if you want me to test any further Beta releases - just let me know.

Spoke too soon - just went back to the jukebox on which I have left SJ playing randomly and it has crashed.

wenn die Finale Version genau so Fehlerbehaftet ist wie die z.Z. erhältliche 3.02 (beta, rc) dann überlege ich mir den Kauf der finalen Version. Im übrigen war die Silverjuke als reine Musikbox gedacht. Das hätte man so lassen sollen. Das mit der Videofunktion musste nun wirklich nicht sein. Aber... das Internet ist ja Groß und es gibt bestimmt Alternativen.

Die Videofunktion kann wegen meiner wieder entsorgt werden.

Ich finde die total überflüssig. Eine Jukebox soll eine Jukebox bleiben!

Bitte, Bitte, macht mal eine Umfrage, wer denn überhaupt diese unsinnige
Videofunktion haben will!!
Ich bin auch der Ansicht, die hat in Eurer Jukebox nix zu suchen.
Macht nur Probleme.
Ich werde ab sofort ach keine Versionen mehr runterladen, wenn weiterhin die Videofunktion drin sein sollte. Oder Ihr müsst zweigleisig fahren.
Also eine als reine Jukebox und eine mit Videofunktion.
Btte nicht böse sein, aber ich habe die Faxen dicke......

Naja, wer Video nicht verwenden möchte verwendet Video nicht. Wo ist das Problem? Ist doch auch nur ein weiteres Format wie z.B. Ogg ...

noch nicht´s gemerkt. Seid der blöden Video Funktion läuft SJ nicht mehr rund. Und da stehe ich nicht alleine da. Und wenn eine neue Version angekündigt wird hofft mann doch wohl mit Recht auf eine Fehlerfreie Version. Dies ist definitiv nicht der Fall. Sorry aber das musste mal gesagt werden.
