Hi Silverjuke Team.
I'm missing the option "Jingles" and also the option "Devices" in SJ 15.8.
I always use these options.
Will they return?

- important "Device"-Options are moved to "Advanced", less used Options at
Re dropped
- the Jingle-Options were removed as they are used very seldomly (mainly for our copy-protection jungle), most times the user prefer AutoPlay, which is still available.
- in the near future, there are no concrete plans on changes here, but other useful features are already in the pipe, eg. "Resume" or "Limit play time"
EDIT: From our technic-room: there are plans for new, more mighty but easier-to-use jingle options

- the FX-Options are dropped, please refer to the normal options available through the soundcard hardware and drivers
- For "Prelisten", there are currently no concrete plans. We think about a system for calling external programs on special events and so. This may prelisten possible again, however, currently there are no details to tell.
- "Play on time": This is a good idea, we keep this in mind
- "Jingles": They will be back - even better - in one of the next releases:

I've been testing SJ 15.8 some days now and overall performance is OK.
However for the moment I'm going back to SJ 3.04.
I badly need some of the FX options that are currently not available in the 15.8 version.
The option I miss the most, is the EQ FX (with it's pre-amp slider) and the pre-listen option (with it's own FX setting).
Under windows there are no FX options at OS level, so I hope the Silverjuke team reconsiders it's decision about dropping FX.
I will closely monitor and test each upcoming version of SilverJuke and I'm very happy that there is new development going on.

Regarding a "global" Equalizer that affects the sound card output:
In fact, many sound card drivers have their own EQ and effects, this should be the first choice.
If they are missing, there are that can work with the sound outputs together, one example is which is free to use (however, we have not tried it out here).
