Re: Improved Jingle Options - Preview
Looks promising
[Edit]
For the 3rd option:
Is it possible to have a date with it (example: play it on 25 December on 19:30)
Also, a user choice option what to do next after playing the track(s) from this section:
For example: Stop playing (and clear/pause the play list) or resume playing from the play list.

Hello JukeFan,
thank you for your post and for your ideas. We value them, however, for the moment, the options are implemented as shown above and will be available with the next release (for Linux, they're already available).
Best regards,
Your Silverjuke-Team

Re: Improved Jingle Options - Preview
Hi SJ Team,
We need to have something to look forward to.
Anyway, thanx for adding the jingle option back to SJ.
I'm not on Linux yet. I'm having problems to get it working on my laptop.
Meanwhile I'm using the Windows version, so I have to wait for the next SJ release to start using it (jingle option).

Re: Improved Jingle Options - Preview
Great service (A windows preview of the upcoming release).
Just tried it.
The jingle option works like a charm.
I have a question though:
You make use of a saved music selection for the jingles.
Is the music selection dynamically filled or is it a static selection?
Isn't it easier to use a folder containing jingle files instead of creating a selection filter?
The command/shortcut tab is a nice enhancement.
Makes it all a bit easier to find and it's a more logically way to present these settings.
Same goes for the columns and display options.
The read and write ratings to files I cannot test, I'm using wav files.
Nice work.

The resume function doesn't seem to work properly.
I've selected the options: "restore queue", "restore already played tracks" and "start playback from last position".
The queue/playlist gets restored including the already played tracks.
The track that was being played while exiting Silverjuke is also in the list but it shows like being played .
Instead of resuming, it plays a random track (in auto play mode).
It seems like autoplay mode doesn't detects that the queue/playlist has been restored.

Re: Improved Jingle Options - Preview
Thank you for your report.
Regarding the "Resume" Issue: We cannot really reproduce it, however, we found a bug that may be responsible for the problem. We've fixed it in the version attached below and we would be very happy, if you find some time to try over and tell us if there are any more problems and/or how we can reproduce them.
Edit: To your other question: The music selection is dynamically filled.
Best regards,
Your Silverjuke-Team

Surely I'll test it this evening when I'm back at home (my boss is at the office
).

Re: Improved Jingle Options - Preview
Just done a quick test during my coffee time.
Resume works now, but...
When exiting silverjuke while a track is being played and re-starting SJ, the same track proceeds exactly at the point where it was stopped.
When exiting silverjuke while a track is being paused and re-starting SJ, the same track gets restarted at the beginning.
Is this how it was ment to be?

Re: Improved Jingle Options - Preview
Strange.
I've just used the latest pre-release of SJ on my home PC and the resume behavior is not the same.
Home PC:
When exiting Silverjuke while a track is being played and re-starting SJ, the same track proceeds exactly at the point where it was stopped.
When exiting Silverjuke while a track is being paused and re-starting SJ, a different track from the list gets played.
To avoid that some user setting is causing this, I've removed the global.ini (so a fresh one gets created).
No luck. On my home PC SJ behaves differently.
