One of your "competitors", eJukebox, has a wonderful feature. It allows the player software to be controlled on a PDA via IP. Netremote in combination with Winamp, MS Mediaplayer or JRiver Mediacenter does approximately the same trick. I have tested both and, although both have their pros and cons, the concept is something I would really like to see added to my favourite Silverjuke.
I passed around my PDA on a small party at my home last night, and asked people to select and add their favourite tracks. You should see the look on their faces when they discover the cover art of their favourite album on my PDA and when they click on it the music immediately comes blasting out of the speakers!
Seeing that Netremote works on the basis of UPnP, and can therefore work together with various players including Winamp, perhaps as a first step you could consider building UPnP functionality into Silverjuke. Forgive me if I say something completely stupid; I am not a programmer and should really stick to my views on the functionality of things...
