Sirs, Hi,
Even after checking the Microphone Volume Control option within the Kiosk Settings Panel, I do not see an additional volume control for the microphone when I return to Kiosk mode.
What else do I need to do?
Thanks
Chris

Re: Microphone Volume Control
We assume you have a typing error or sth. like that in the skin modifications.
Please check if the "native" microphone volume slider in the setup works ("2" in the graphic below). Then, check if the skinned slider ("1" below) is in sync with the native one ("2").
If they're out of sync, please have an accurate look at your skin modifications and to its syntax.
Best regards,

Re: Microphone Volume Control
Hi,
Slider 1 and 2 are in synch.
Yet they do not adjust the volume of the microphone.
(If I go into Windows Volume control and adjust the microphone volume there, then the volume does raise and lower).
Within the drop down menu options for Microphone 1 or 2 I do not have "Virtual Cable 1 in" - should this be there?
Yours,
Chris

Okay - so the skin is not the problem

Hmm, we do not have any problems with our inputs here. Maybe this is a driver problem.
You can try to use different settings for the options at "Settings / Playback / Devices / Use hardware" and "Settings / Advanced / Further options / Audio output: Use system volume". Maybe this will solve your problem.

Not necessarily - "Virtual Cable 1 in" is only the drive of one of our testing inputs.

Re: Microphone Volume Control
Hi
Thanks for the reply.
Still no luck however.
I have tried various combinations for 'Use Hardware''System Volume' and the drop down menus aside microphones 1 & 2.
Still the same, the microphone is fine and can be controlled via the windows volume control but not via Silverjuke.
You made some mention of drivers on your previous post - what drivers?
Thanks for your time.

Well, it may be useful to have a look at the audio/soundcard drivers. Maybe they have a problem. Another approach: If possible, can you test your configuration with some different (audio-)hardware?

Re: Microphone Volume Control
Silverjuke Team,
Still struggling here.
I installed a new Creative Soundblaster Soundcard, but this has not helped.
Again the volume is controllable via the Windows Volume control but not within Silverjuke.
Silverjuke knows the soundcard has been installed and this now appears as a drop down option within the microphone input.
I have tried different microphones.
I have tried using original un-edited skins, without any kiosk volume control.
I am not even able to adjust the volume via the settings panel.
What else can we try?
Yours,
Chris

Re: Microphone Volume Control
Silverjuke Team,
Would it be possible for you to send me a skin with the microphone slide bar that you have tested at your end and know to be working. At least I would then know that it is a hardware and not software problem.
The skin can be sent to me at c.mcfarquhar@jukebox45s.co.uk
thanks
Chris
