i was wondering one thing.
when you reduce WMP, it goes in the task bar, and you can forward the trac, rewind, stop, play and adjust the volume, without clic on the right button.
when you reduce with silverjuke, it goes on the right side, and youu have to press right to adjust some stuff, and you can t set the volume.
would it be possible for the next update to do something like WMP (i thing it s the only one good feature in WMP by the way)
thanks for your good work
bye

Re: reduce in task bar...
If we don't get many more requests for this, I don't think we will develop something in this direction - simply because there are already some nice alternatives:
(1) As you mentioned, you can access these functions using the right mouse button on the Silverjuke icon:
(2) You can use Silverjuke as a Miniplayer - simply double click on the background of the default skin:
You can move this little window everywhere you like (not only in the taskbar), and if you click the little needle in the upper left corner, it will stay on top of other windows.
(3) Our favourite: You can define some global keys for the most often needed functions. These keys will also work if Silverjuke is not the active application and you are working eg. inside "Word".
You can define these global keys at "Settings / Advanced / Basic settings / Shortcut: .. / Customize / Add system-wide shortcut":
Some useful shortcuts may be eg. the "Pause key" (normally above the "Page up key") for "Play/Pause" and eg. "CTRL+Pause" for "Next track".
Finally, of cource, you can use a combination of all functions ...
Maybe we could give you some useful hints -
Best regards,
Your Silverjuke Team

Re: reduce in task bar...
hi...
thanks so much for your help !
i could guess by my self that silverjuke is better on every point than WMP of course !
i ve already tried to assign a shortcut in order to display silverjuke when it s reduced. But i didn't work cause i didn 't set the system wide shortcut.
Now i got it and it s working really well, so it s so much better than my idea. thanks by the way for your good explanation.
Now, WMP is a little bit better for the live messenger plug in
lol
i tried to spread the word of your software on all the message boards i m talking on, and the problem is always the price.
a lor of friend of mine are using your soft now, and it s sad to say but i put away my whole cd collection in cardboard boxes...so much easier to listen the song you want with your soft
bye

Re: reduce in task bar...
Hello again -
we know that there are for a messenger plugin
WMP seems to have some advantages in understanding the underlying protocol ...
Thank you for - and please continue to do so
Regarding the price: There's not much we can change about this, we all have to pay our rent ... and please do not assume WMP is really free of charge - you pay for it eg. indirectly when buying Vista. Same for iTunes and for many other applications. So the advantage for Silverjuke is, you have to pay for it only if you need it
However, thanks again and a good night from Hamburg/Germany,
Your Silverjuke Team
