Silverjuke can do so: Just enable the option "Skip silence between tracks" at "Settings / Playback / Automatic control / Fading" if not yet done:

Normally, the option is enabled by default. If you disable it, you should head the difference on crossfadings or even on "normal" track changes.

However, there may be some situations where the silence is not skipped completely - this is because we have to work with a global threshold that cannot be exact in all cases. If you encounter some tracks with lots of silcence before/after, maybe you should assume to edit the MP3 file by a lossless MP3 editor.

Best regards,

Unfortunatly the option was already enabled so it must be the threshold that needs adjustment. Perhaps you could provide and option to change this?

Cheers

Well, the threshold is fine in all our tests - if we would raise it, it may happen, wanted music is discarded, which would result in much more problems and questions.

An adjustable threshold would be very hard to use and may result in unforseeable results. We could make the threshold adjustable, however, we do not think that this will solve the problem. Moreover, most of the other customers seems not to have any troubles with the current default.

Maybe your files have lot of noise and their beginning and/or end?

Please also note, that silence detection currently is only available in physically existant file (no ZIPs, no HTTP, no streams).
