Will SJ ever provide for CD ripping, for example ripping in FLAC format? I have used various other applications for FLAC ripping like EAC, YahooMusicJukebox and the like but would find your product to be the best to include these capabilities in future updates. As a FLAC player it is by far the best out there!

Thank you for your praise, guest. Currently, there are no concrete plans in adding a ripper to Silverjuke. At first, Silverjuke is and will be a player.

Hello Torsten,

Not exactly what you are searching for, but do you know the Avoid boredom options at "Playback > Shuffle":

With the options you can disallow tracks being played twice in a given number of minutes, eg. 2 hours in the example screenshot above.

While the option above allows enqueueing but delays the title, if needed, there is also an option to discard the enqueueing of double titles: See "Settings > Kiosk mode > Functionality > Avoid double tracks waiting in queue".

Maybe these options will help you with your problem.

Well it helps a lot, but you can still choose an entire album or an endless row of numbers from the same artist – making the playlist very singelsided!
I think my suggestion is very similar, it is just adding more control:

- avoid boredom: max “X” no of tracks from the same album within “X” minutes
- avoid boredom: max “X” no of tracks from the same artist within “X” minutes

- I think I am going to buy the program anyway :)

Hello Chris,

I think you are searching for a sort of a visualization, that is started when the jukebox is waiting for some input? Sorry, this is not possible as far as I know.

However, if you do not know the "Go to current track" (aka "Follow song") feature, maybe this one is an idea:

New View needed - cover art AND album details.....

The cover art view is superb. However, it is a shame that the user has to toggle into album detail view to add a track to a playlist and then toggle back to cover art view to continue browsing their collection.

I would love to see most of the screen dedicated to the cover art with a frame on the right that shows the tracks from the cover that has been selected. This would make it much easier to build playlists and browse music collections.

I would love to be able to save playlists and then quickly see a list of my playlists without having to browse a folder.

I envisage an optional window at the top of the player that lists saved playlists in a nominated directory.
