Anyone know if its possible to make "on screen" menus with Girder.
(is there a plugin or some option?)
Ex. if i press a button on the remote a menu should pop-up and then you could choose with the -> <- keys ...
if anyone know .. then it might be possible to create a menu for changing musicselection through the remote. And I would be the happiest Silverjuke owner in the world ....
Thanks!
Girder + Silverjuke + On Screen Menu = possible?
Re: Girder + Silverjuke + On Screen Menu = possible?
Hello spexer,
I cannot really help you, as I do not use this remote control. But I can tell you that there are some people in the german forum using girder, see
http://forum.silverjuke.net/viewtopic.php?p=3047#p3047
and http://forum.silverjuke.net/viewtopic.php?t=1790
Seems as if they are using a program called "EventGhost". Maybe this helps anyway?
Regards,
B.

Oh, and here is another (english) thread:

However, I fear your problem is more special. Maybe you get some additional tips from other users using grider ...

spexer,
If you're using Girder 3.3, you might want to check out the OSD Menu 1.65 plugin by Matt on the Girder Plugins page at:
http://www.girder.nl/downloads.php?mode ... ucCode=800
I haven't tried it myself, but it looks like you can execute a program or trigger a Girder event from a menu, and you can even have nested menus.
Regards,
Eric
P.S. Please let me know what you find out if you try it!

Re: Girder + Silverjuke + On Screen Menu = possible?
Ok thanks alot guys... Ebs: I've downloaded the plugin and it looks very promising.
However I will have to find another way to control the musicselection, as it didnt work as I hoped.
If anyone got any suggestions your more then welcome to try and help me out!
Fredrik

Re: Girder + Silverjuke + On Screen Menu = possible?
Ok, couldnt make it work with "beta 1" - it shows under the further options menu, but you cant assign keys.
Anyway found another way around.. and have made a On Screen Menu using the plugin OSD Menu 1.65 plugin for Girder.
Seem to work great.
Still assign keys would help alot, for now I use a modified skin with "on click" action buttons - it works but not as clean as using just keycomands.
